TRPO (1-dihexylphosphoryloctane) extractant is a liquid phosphine oxide. Its potential application lies in extracting organic and inorganic solutes from aqueous solutions, such as the extraction of carboxylic acid from waste liquid and the removal of arsenic from copper electrolyte.
