2.Mechanism of bacteriostasis and preservative
5-Bromo-5-nitro-1,3-dioxane(Bronidox, CAS 30007-47-7) can inhibit the growth of bacteria, fungi (including yeast) and other microorganisms in a broad spectrum for a long time under certain concentration conditions, especially for gram-negative bacteria, and rarely produce drug resistance. The bromonitrodioxane of this product can inhibit microbial growth and cause microbial death. On the one hand, the electron deficient oxidizing bromine atom in bromonitrodioxane will oxidize the mercaptoprotease of microorganisms to form disulfide bonds, thereby specifically inhibiting the activity of mercaptoprotease and, to a certain extent, inhibiting the activity of pepsin, thereby inhibiting cell metabolism and synthesis of macromolecules, resulting in a rapid decline in intracellular energy level. Eventually, due to the breakdown of the energy system, the cells can not carry out normal anabolism and growth inhibition or death; On the other hand, the activated bromine released during the oxidation process also combines with proteins on the cell membrane to form nitro-bromine compounds, which interferes with cell metabolism and causes the death of microorganisms.
3.Product quality
The in vitro diagnostic reagent with 5-Bromo-5-nitro-1,3-dioxane(Bronidox, CAS 30007-47-7) as the main raw material has high efficiency, stability, low toxicity and environmental protection. This product has fast onset time, wide pH range (pH5-8.5), and good chemical stability in various buffer solutions; 5-Bromo-5-nitro-1, 3-diOXane (Bronidox, CAS 30007-47-7) has stable chemical properties below 40℃, and unopened products can be stably stored at 20-30℃ for more than one year. This product can be mixed with water, suitable for adding this product in aqueous solution, good stability in aqueous solution, and no interference to the color of the reagent. 5-Bromo-5-Nitro-1, 3-diOXane (Bronidox, CAS 30007-47-7) is effective in bacteriostasis, with minimal toxicity after dilution, non-irritating and non-corrosive, and has good biodegradation ability, which will not cause environmental pollution. It is considered as a perfect substitute for traditional biological preservatives such as thiomersal, sodium azide and gentamicin, which are inflammable and explosive, highly toxic and easy to produce drug resistance.
4.Precautions for use
4.1 Bronidox (CAS 30007-47-7) can be compatible with most surfactants, but if the product contains substances with -SH group such as cysteine, the antibacterial activity will be reduced; Aluminum can also reduce its antibacterial activity.
4.2 Bronidox (CAS 30007-47-7) is unstable under high temperature >40℃ and alkaline environment with pH>9, and its color is easy to darken under sunlight. It is recommended that the pH application range be between 5 and 8.5.
4.3 Bronidox (CAS 30007-47-7) is recommended to be stored at 20-30℃. During transportation and storage, when the temperature is lower than 15℃, bromonitrodioxane will crystallize out, and can be heated and stirred in a water bath at 25-40℃, and used after complete dissolution.
4.4 Bronidox (CAS 30007-47-7) is harmful or irritating to the human body. Please be careful when handling Bronidox and take effective precautions to avoid direct contact with the human body or inhalation. It is safe and non-irritating to human body within the recommended concentration range, but direct contact with eyes should be avoided as far as possible. Once in contact, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water without delay.
4.5 Bronidox (CAS 30007-47-7) is corrosive. Please be careful when handling Bronidox (CAS 30007-47-7), and ensure effective protection to avoid direct contact with human body, and take care to avoid corrosion of other articles. It is toxic or harmful to aquatic organisms and shall not be discharged directly into the environment.
4.6 Bronidox (CAS 30007-47-7) is for scientific research use only by professionals, shall not be used for clinical diagnosis or treatment, shall not be used for food or medicine, and shall not be stored in ordinary residential premises.
4.7 For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves.
